Your First Card πŸ‚‘

Learn what a card is and how to save your first link on Stacklist β€” on web, mobile, or via browser extension.

πŸ‘‰ What Is a Card?

A card is the core unit of Stacklist. Every link you save becomes a card.

When you save a link, Stacklist automatically pulls in the page's title, description, and a preview image. You can keep that metadata as-is or customize it β€” add your own notes, tags, and assign it to a stack.

Cards can be anything: a recipe, an Airbnb listing, a YouTube video, a product you want to buy, an article to read later. If it has a URL, it can be a card.

πŸ”₯How to save your first card

On Web

  1. Log in at stacklist.app.

  2. Click Create New in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Add New Card.

  4. Paste or type a URL into the Website field.

  5. Stacklist will automatically pull in the page title, description, and image.

  6. Customize the card details as needed:

    • Title β€” Edit or keep the auto-filled title.

    • Description β€” Add personal notes or context.

    • Image β€” Use the auto-pulled image or upload your own.

    • Tags β€” Add tags to organize and find this card later (e.g., #recipes, #travel).

    • Stack β€” Use the Add Card to Stack dropdown to file this card into an existing stack.

Using the Browser Extension

  1. Navigate to the page you want to save.

  2. Click the Stacklist extension icon in your browser toolbar.

  3. Review or edit the auto-filled title, description, and image.

  4. Add tags and assign to a stack if needed.

  5. Click Save.

πŸ’‘Tips

  • Tags are great for filtering cards later β€” add them at save time so you don't have to go back.

  • You can add a card to multiple stacks, not just one.

  • Don't worry about getting the details perfect right away. You can always edit a card after saving it
